Adoration for thanksgiving to St. Joseph

On December 10, 2020, Pope Francis marked the 150th anniversary of declaration on St. Joseph as a Guardian of the Catholic Church. He declared that from December 8, 2020 to December 8, 2021 to be the Extraordinary Year of St. Joseph.

St. Joseph is the patron saint of Holy Spirit Sisters Japan Province. We have been praying to him that he may be watching over us always and will continue to be our support and a good guide for us.

In Koganei convent, on the month of Joseph in March, we prayed in thanksgiving and asked
him for the continuous guidance of St. Joseph. We placed his statue from the entrance
of the main chapel to the small chapel where we usually pray. Through this, we somehow
feel that St. Joseph is always watching over us.

During prayers, we use for the reading Pope Francis's Ecclesiastical Letter, "With a
Father’s Heart." We sing songs on St. Joseph from Catholic Hymn Collection. We also
recite various prayers to St. Joseph, such as a Prayer of the Year of St. Joseph.
We, who live in Tokyo, pray for earliest possible end of corona infection...
